Jayplas Marketing Team

Effective communication of Jayplas' comprehensive services—from waste collection to recycled product manufacturing—was needed. The existing website was 8-10 years old and failed to represent Jayplas as a cutting-edge, environmentally-focused business, the largest in the UK, serving many blue-chip clients.

It was essential to balance the important emotional attachment of a family-run business with the professional image needed to appeal to large corporations. Jaylas's product offerings and services were complex and needed to be presented in a way that non-technical clients and partners who needed more technical information could understand.

Website Design and Development

Objectives:

  • Develop a modern, user-friendly website that positions Jayplas as an industry leader.
  • Showcase Jayplas’ innovations in recycling and recycled product manufacturing.
  • Highlight the importance of recycling and its impact on sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Website Structure: New information architecture was planned in great detail to provide a clear user journey and logical structure to the content.

Audience Profiling: Audience research is a fundamental first stage of website design. At Arttia Creative, we include audience research with every website project. This ensures the final website is tailored to meet its intended users' needs and preferences.

Identifying demographic characteristics, behaviours, and motivations allows our web designers to create a user-centric experience that enhances engagement and conversion rates.

Our comprehensive audience research forms the backbone of the design process, influencing critical aspects such as the website's navigation structure, content strategy, and visual elements. This alignment with the audience's expectations and usage patterns ensures a seamless user experience.

Wire-frames: Wire-frames serve as a skeletal framework, outlining the placement of various elements, such as navigation menus, content sections, images, and buttons, without focusing on design details like colours and graphics.

Our website wireframes are a basic visual representation or blueprint of a website's layout and structure. We create wireframe layouts for the top-level pages, which will guide the layout for the second-level pages at the code and development stage.

Overall, website wireframes are a crucial planning tool, guiding the design and development team towards an effective and user-friendly website that meets the project's objectives and user needs.

Style Boards: Our style board or mood board stage is critical in our website design process. It serves as a visual tool to consolidate the aesthetic direction and branding elements before the actual design begins.

This stage involves creating a collage of images, colour palettes, typography, and design motifs that encapsulate the desired look and feel of the website and complement and build on the client's brand identity.

Website style boards ensure alignment among all stakeholders regarding the visual strategy of the website.

Furthermore, style boards help prevent miscommunication between the design team and the client by providing a concrete visual framework before the website design and development phase.

Design and Development: We blend the wire-frame and style board stages to create a sleek, modern website design for Jayplas. Their website is designed to act as a digital salesperson and brand ambassador.

The website design included intuitive navigation and a user-friendly interface to enhance user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). It also included a visual breakdown of the recycling and plastic manufacturing types alongside Jayplas focus on sustainability and the environment.

Content Strategy: The content structure was revamped to provide a cohesive narrative that guides visitors through Jayplas’ entire service offering. New content highlighted Jayplas' role in the circular economy and its impact on sustainability.

SEO and Visibility: Special attention was given to sector-specific SEO to ensure high search visibility. Launch SEO strategies and 301 redirects were carefully planned to minimize the impact on existing search rankings. High-quality enquiries were received almost immediately after the website was launched.

Resources Portal: A dedicated portal was included to host compliance documents and resources, enhancing customer trust and transparency.

Graphics and Infographics

Photography: High-quality stock images were blended with custom photography to represent the company's facilities and processes visually. Together with the incorporation of a substantial amount of the client's photography.

Infographics and Graphics: Data visualisation, graphics and infographics were created to support content narratives and engage users.
